Ex-Display, Clearance and New Kitchens, What’s the difference?

A simple guide to understanding the differences between different grades of kitchen.

Ex-Display Kitchens

As the names suggest, ex display kitchens are kitchens that have been removed from showroom displays, these are usually imperfect and may have slight flaws and signs of wear. These imperfections may include things like slight scratches on the doors and small signs of wear. Not all ex display kitchens may have these signs of wear and you will usually be notified by the kitchen supplier as to which imperfections your kitchen may have.

Notes: Expect signs of wear and imperfections.

Clearance Kitchens

Clearance kitchens are usually purchased in bulk at a discount from manufacturer’s for a number of reasons, these may include clearance of old stock to introduce new styles, manufacturer’s clearing stock when going in to administration, slight defects with stock and over-manufacturing to name a few. Clearance grade kitchens may not be quite as good as new but purchasing a clearance kitchen can save huge amounts over new kitchens.

Notes: Usually as good as new, however may have slight manufacturing defects.

New Kitchens

A+ grade new kitchens

Notes: Expect a shiny new kitchen with protective wrappers and packaging.
